TORONTO, March 13, 2018 – Corus Entertainment is turning up the heat with new and returning sponsors for Food Network Canada’s esteemed culinary competition series, Top Chef Canada. This season, extensive sponsorship campaigns incorporating on-air promotions, in-show integrations, prizing and more will be amplified with returning series partners Monogram, Interac Corp. and Beringer as well as new sponsors Cuisinart®, Montellier®, McCormick Gourmet™ and Avocados from Mexico. Top Chef Canada premieres Sunday, April 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network Canada.

“The return of such high profile brands such as Monogram, Interac Corp. and Beringer is a true testament of the value our clients see in this series through their sponsorship and in-show integrations,” said Lynn Chambers, Vice President, Corus Tempo. “We’re also excited to have the opportunity to creatively integrate several new brands this season that will deliver paramount partnership experiences in-show and connect seamlessly with Food Network Canada’s broad and engaged audience.”

Starting April 8, the heat is on as the competitors battle it out in the fully-outfitted Top Chef Canada Monogram kitchen. The series welcomes the return of Monogram as the exclusive major appliance provider, with their products featured seamlessly throughout the season. The grand prize winner will also be rewarded a luxurious Monogram kitchen valued at $25,000. Testing the competitors’ culinary skill and tasking them to draw from international flavours, Monogram will also be featured in two tantalizing episodic challenges, awarding the winners with cash prizes.

Returning this season as the chefs’ go-to payment method, Interac Corp. provides the $100,000 grand prize for Canada’s Top Chef, and sponsoring a classic Top Chef Elimination Challenge, Restaurant Wars. Additionally, Interac Corp. has joined Top Chef Canada on a co-branded weekly watch-and-win “Pay. Your Way.” contest. Each week, viewers can watch for a new “word of the week” and enter online at foodnetwork.ca/contests for a chance to win a grand prize of three devices. The contest begins April 8 for eight weeks and promotion for the contest will run on-air and online at foodnetwork.ca.

Cuisinart® joins as first-time sponsor to supply the chefs with all of their small appliance needs in addition to providing $5,000 worth of their products as part of the grand prize. The brand is also featured in an integrated episodic challenge where the competitors utilize Cuisinart® appliances to slice and dice their way to victory.

The Top Chef Canada pantry, locker room and off-site events are fully stocked this season with returning wine sponsor, Beringer. The brand also pairs perfectly in an episodic challenge where the winner is awarded a lavish trip to Napa Valley. In addition, Beringer is featured in custom video content on foodnetwork.ca/topchefcanada, including vignettes and exclusive recipes with inspiration from their wines created by Top Chef Canada alum Dustin Gallagher. Also in the pantry this season, first-time Canadian Sparkling Water sponsor, Montellier®, fulfills all the thirst-quenching needs of the chefs and at the judges’ table with extensive in-show exposure.

Adding to the all-encompassing slate of sponsors with zest and zing, is McCormick GourmetTM. Throughout the season, the chefs have access to a broad range of spices, herbs and seasonings from McCormick GourmetTM and the brand is also integrated in a flavourful challenge in-show. Also taking episodic challenges to the next level are Avocados from Mexico, tasking competitors with transporting the judges’ taste buds to Central America and awarding the winner with a trip to Mexico.

This season of Top Chef Canada introduces an impressive new generation of 11 professional chefs from coast to coast vying for the title of Canada’s Top Chef. Top Chef Canada is the homegrown version of the hit Emmy Award-winning NBCUniversal Series Top Chef and is produced by Insight Production Company Ltd. in association with Food Network Canada.

Food Network Canada is available on a National Free Preview until April 30. Please check local listings for additional details.
