TORONTO, September 10, 2024 – Top Chef Canada announces today the series’ largest-ever roster of sponsors, with five new and five returning brands joining for Season 11. These sponsorships include in-show integrations, customized challenges and drool-worthy prizing in every episode. The Top 10 specialty entertainment program*, returns for Season 11 beginning Monday, October 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network Canada and streaming on STACKTV.
Top Chef Canada, Season 11 will see 10 chefs enter the competition, but only one will walk away with the title of Canada’s Top Chef and the series’ largest grand prize yet: $100,000 cash, a brand-new suite of KitchenAid® appliances, a vacation worth $10,000 from Vrbo, a 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, $10,000 courtesy of Tim Hortons, and one year’s worth of groceries delivered with DoorDash.
Leading sponsor Vrbo treats the chefs to a stay where they can unwind and recharge from the pressure of the competition. Come the finale, Vrbo delights the finalists with a special surprise. A grand prize sponsor, this season’s Top Chef will get some much-needed rest and relaxation after the competition with a vacation worth $10,000 courtesy of Vrbo.
KitchenAid Brand returns as the series’ official appliance sponsor, outfitting the KitchenAid Top Chef Canada Kitchen with their top-of-the-line countertop and major appliances, which will been seen in a kitchen tour social video. The brand also sponsors an Elimination Challenge, tasking the chefs to create a dish that perfectly pairs with an espresso made with the KitchenAid® Fully Automatic Espresso Machine. As a grand prize sponsor, Canada’s Top Chef will be awarded a brand-new suite of KitchenAid® appliances.
Alfa Romeo joins as this season’s official vehicle sponsor and grand prize contributor. Throughout the season the judges and chefs will be put in the driver’s seat, allowing them to experience the expert Italian craftsmanship and innovative features of Alfa Romeo. Then, this season’s winner will drive away with a brand-new 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The Tonale symbolizes the metamorphosis – “La Metamorfosi” – of the legendary Alfa Romeo brand, highlighted by a new era of luxury, electrification and connectivity while remaining true to its race-inspired DNA. The brand also sponsors two social videos featuring the cast.
Award-winning winery Campo Viejo returns as the season’s official wine sponsor, stocking the pantry with their array of Spanish wines for every occasion. The brand also kicks off and closes the season providing a $5,000 prize in the first and last Elimination Challenge and sponsoring a challenge in the finale.
In a cutthroat competition when every second counts, DoorDash keeps the Season 11 chefs on time every episode with a digital countdown clock in the kitchen. Then, DoorDash challenges the contestants to showcase Toronto’s vibrant and diverse culinary scene by creating and delivering a street food creation to the judges for a chance to win $5,000. This season’s champion will also walk away with one year’s worth of groceries delivered with DoorDash.
To celebrate their 60th anniversary, Tim Hortons is looking for inspiration for a new menu item and the Top Chef competitors will put their best dish forward in a Quickfire Challenge. After fueling up with classic breakfast staples provided by Tim Hortons, the chefs will take inspiration from their hometowns to create a quality and tasty dish designed to fit into the Breakfast, Baked Goods, Lunch or Dinner menu at Tims, and for a chance to win them $5,000. The brand is also a grand prize contributor, giving a $10,000 cash prize to this season’s victor.
Contestants go head-to-head and ruffle a few feathers in a Quickfire Challenge sponsored by Think Turkey. There’s $5,000 on the table as chefs battle to create a standout dish that showcases the versatility of turkey. Think Turkey also sponsors a kitchen hack social video, giving at home chefs tips for cooking the perfect roast turkey.
Windsor Salt keeps flavour close at hand by outfitting each chef’s station with specialty salt containers such as Himalayan Pink Salt, Sea Salt and Kosher Salt. An Elimination Challenge sees the seasoned chefs put to the test, tasked with using sustainable pantry staples to create a dish that could win them $5,000 courtesy of Windsor Salt. The brand also sponsors a ‘kitchen hack’ social video.
belairdirect sponsors simplified kitchen tips and tricks videos with chefs that will ensure viewers are Top Chef’s in their own kitchen, with the brand also featured in the locker room.
The pantry will be stocked with a bountiful branded display of Premium Barilla Pasta. Then, during a Quickfire Challenge, the chefs must create a perfectly al dente pasta dish incorporating a meaningful secret ingredient chosen by their nearest and dearest. The challenge winner takes home $5,000 towards a trip to Italy courtesy of Barilla, and the opportunity to share the exciting news with their loved one on a video call.
