Sabah Mirza Joins Executive Leadership Team as Dale Hancocks Announces Departure after 24-year career with Corus

TORONTO, November 5, 2020 – Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX:CJR.B) (“Corus Entertainment”) announced today the departure of Dale Hancocks as Executive Vice President and General Counsel naming Sabah Mirza as his successor effective November 23, 2020.

Joining the Corus Entertainment Executive Leadership Team, Sabah Mirza brings more than 20 years of legal experience most recently as Executive Vice President, Business Affairs at the Sunwing Travel Group, where she had oversight of the legal function, M&A, governance, and government affairs. Prior to Sunwing, Mirza held General Counsel and senior legal positions with select aviation and defence companies overseeing a broad range of legal and corporate functions including financing, contracts, employment, regulatory and litigation, as well as tax and treasury. Mirza is a member of the bar in Ontario and Quebec.

Hancocks joined Nelvana in 1996 holding increasingly progressive roles over his career at Corus as an internationally experienced commercial-focused lawyer eventually becoming Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

Hancocks and Mirza will work together through December 11, 2020 to ensure a seamless transition.
