Corus Entertainment Announces Voting Results From Annual Meeting Of Shareholders

TORONTO, January 17, 2020 –Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX: CJR.B) announced today the voting results from its Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Meeting”) held in Calgary, Alberta on January 15, 2020.

A total of 3,277,611 Class A Participating Shares (“Class A Voting Shares”), representing 96.05% of the Company’s issued and outstanding Class A Voting Shares, were voted in connection with the Meeting. All matters put forth at the Meeting, including the appointment of auditors and authorization of the directors to fix the remuneration of such auditors, the adoption of a resolution to allow the board of directors to fix the number of directors of the Company, within the minimum and maximum number provided for in the Articles of the Company, and the adoption of a resolution to ratify and approve the unallocated entitlements under the Company’s Stock Option Plan for the ensuing three (3) years were approved by a large majority of the voting shareholders as detailed in the Company’s filing on www.sedar.com.

Each of the nine (9) director nominees proposed by the Company in its Management Information Circular dated December 10, 2019, was elected as a director of Corus Entertainment as follows:
