TORONTO, March 10, 2022 – This spring, HGTV Canada’s most trusted renovation coach, Sebastian Clovis, helps overwhelmed and overcommitted homeowners who are in over their heads in the new Corus Studios Original, Gut Job (12×60). Starting Wednesday, April 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Sebastian brings his creativity, support, and talented team to each extreme fixer upper. Tackling foundation issues, unusable spaces, pervasive pests, and more, Gut Job turns doomed properties into winning homes.
Featuring two homeowner stories in each hour-long episode, the premiere opens with a family of six who forwent a home inspection during a bidding war – but the would-be dream property turned out to be uninhabitable and requires Sebastian’s help fast. Then, a couple hope to expand their livable space into the backyard, but after years of neglect and animal squatters, Sebastian needs to take painstaking measures to reclaim the space.
Sebastian and his team are up for each challenge. After stripping his own house back to the studs and rebuilding it safer and more stunning than ever, Sebastian has personal experience with gut jobs and knows how overwhelming the process can be. A seasoned builder, Sebastian began his home renovation business in 2009 after retiring from the CFL, bringing the same passion and dedication from his sport into his craft.
