VANCOUVER, September 11, 2020 – Global News Radio is proud to launch an exciting new program, The Joel Matlin Entrepreneur Show, as well as announce the addition of two new personalities, Jawn Jang and Mo Amir, coming to its talk radio stations this weekend. Meera Estrada and Bee Quammie also return to host kultur’D on Global News Radio 640 Toronto this fall.

Airing weekly at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST across seven of its talk radio stations starting Sunday, September 13, The Joel Matlin Entrepreneur Show will introduce listeners to the most successful entrepreneurs in Canadian business. They’ll bring their inspirational, behind-the-scenes stories of how they built their companies from scratch, and leave the audience feeling motivated to take on exciting new ventures of their own. Jawn Jang has signed on as a late night host across the AM radio network from 1 a.m. – 5 a.m. ET/10 p.m. – 2 a.m. PT on Saturday mornings. Jang is familiar to listeners from his most recent position co-hosting midmornings on Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver. He also brings on-air experience from other FM stations in large and small markets. He has a passion for connecting with listeners and telling stories from across the country.

On Global News Radio 980 CKNW, Mo Amir, well-known host and producer of This is VANCOLOUR, one of Vancouver’s most popular independent podcasts, will now provide weekly commentary for the station. A VANCOLOUR Moment on CKNW is a weekly, heartfelt commentary segment served up spicy. While the segment will range from incisive one week and light-hearted the next, A VANCOLOUR Moment promises to always be an honest and curious conversation-starter on relevant political and cultural issues.
