CORUS’ SVP, NETWORKS DANIEL EVES STEPS DOWN; JENNIFER ABRAMS NAMED AS SUCCESSOR

TORONTO, November 23, 2022 – Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX: CJR.B) announced today that Daniel Eves, SVP, Networks will be stepping down effective December 15, 2022 with Corus’ current VP, Programming and Multi-platform, Jennifer Abrams named as successor.

Over his 22 year career, Eves has been a key architect of Corus’ bold new path in streaming and the company’s long-term success in specialty television and conventional television. As SVP, Networks, Eves helped launch STACKTV and primed the platform for its ongoing success through deeper partnerships with studio suppliers.

“There are few executives who have programmed as many different networks as Daniel – from scripted to lifestyle, from factual to kids, and every format in between,” said Troy Reeb, EVP Broadcast Networks.  “His accomplished career at Corus has seen increased audiences across many of our channels and we thank him for his many contributions throughout his tenure.”

As of the new year, Abrams will take on full responsibility for all programming and content windowing strategies across the company’s 33 specialty networks, Global and the Global TV App, STACKTV, Teletoon+, and the Corus-operated channels on the soon to launch Pluto TV in Canada.

Abrams joined Corus in 2013 and has worked in partnership with teams across the business to prioritize the company’s biggest series and brands, commission hit Canadian shows and secure some of the best content from around the world for Corus’ platforms.

Abrams will take over as SVP, Programming and Multi-platform effective January 1, 2023 with Eves continuing with Corus in a consulting capacity to support the transition until spring 2023.
