ET CANADA WINS THE 2022 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARD FOR BEST ENTERTAINMENT NEWS PROGRAM OR SERIES

TORONTO, April 7, 2022 – Corus Entertainment’s ET Canada celebrates four award wins during the 2022 Canadian Screen Awards including Best Entertainment News Program or Series, revealed during The Lifestyle & Reality Awards virtual ceremony last night.

Adding to the show’s record-number of award wins, ET Canada’s half-hour special Artists & Icons: Indigenous Entertainers in Canada took home two awards including Best Talk Program or Series and Best Direction, Lifestyle or Information for director Ryan Carter. Co-hosted by Shayla Stonechild, and produced in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the special aimed to shine a light on a number of Indigenous entertainers in Canada by sharing their stories.

Earlier in the week, during The Digital & Immersive Awards, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television recognized ET Canada’s daily, half-hour digital series ET Canada Live, with the award for Best Host, Web Program or Series with Cheryl Hickey, Roz Weston, Sangita Patel, Carlos Bustamante, Keshia Chanté and Morgan Hoffman sharing the honour.
