Scholarship and Internship Program Details

  • Students who will be commencing their final year of post-secondary studies in September 2023 are eligible.
  • Students will receive confirmation of their scholarship in June 2023.
  • Internship and mentorship opportunities will only be offered in English.
  • Internship will take place during summer of 2024.
  • Selected students can fulfill a paid internship at either ET Canada or The Morning Show (both based in Toronto) or at local Global News Morning Shows across Canada. Global News Morning Shows locations include Vancouver, Okanagan, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Peterborough, Halifax and Montreal (excludes journalism and on-air training)
  • Scholarship is non-renewable.

Scholarship and Internship Program Eligibility

  • Students who self-identify as racialized, Indigenous, living with disability and/or 2SLGBTQ+
  • Students who are in their final year and are enrolled in a diploma, advanced diploma or degree program with a focus in Television Broadcast studies.
  • Students must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
