680 CJOB AND TRUE NORTH SPORTS + ENTERTAINMENT SIGN EXCLUSIVE DEAL FOR RADIO BROADCAST RIGHTS

Station Becomes Premier Sports Destination in Winnipeg with Coverage of Local NHL, CFL and AHL Teams

WINNIPEG, October 5, 2020 Corus Radio and True North Sports + Entertainment announced today a new deal that sees Global News Radio 680 CJOB (CJOB AM) acquire the Winnipeg Jets’ exclusive radio broadcast rights in a multi-year deal for all pre-season, regular season and playoff games for the 2020-21 through 2026-27 seasons. The games will also be simulcast on Power 97. With the excitement set to take off on Tuesday, October 6 with the NHL draft, hockey fans can tune in to 680 CJOB, Winnipeg’s News and Information Leader, for all the action or listen online at globalnews.ca/radio/cjob.
