Top Chef Canada, Season 7 premieres Monday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network Canada.
Canadian Original, World Broadcast Premiere
Canada’s most prestigious culinary competition is back with the best and brightest professional chefs competing for the title of Canada’s Top Chef.
For six seasons, Food Network Canada’s Top Chef Canada has been a ratings mega-hit and the most distinguished culinary competition in the country, propelling winners Dale McKay, Carl Heinrich, Matt Stowe, Renee Rodriguez, Nicole Gomes, and Ross Larkin into Canadian culinary stars.
In the years since the competition began, Canada’s culinary scene has come of age and is admired and respected all around the world. This season, chefs will show off their Canadian cooking capabilities in grueling culinary challenges set in the Top Chef Canada kitchen as well as in unique locations – fighting for immunity and prizes in the Quickfire Challenges and cooking for their lives in the Elimination Challenges.
Each week they’ll be judged by a panel of Canada’s most refined palettes. Returning as head judge is Canadian culinary icon Mark McEwan. Each week, Mark will be joined by our host Eden Grinshpan and our resident judges: food writer and traveller Mijune Pak, acclaimed restaurant critic Chris Nuttall-Smith and powerhouse restaurateur Janet Zuccarini. Our panel will also be joined by a series of culinary masters and noted food lovers as guest judges from here and abroad as they search for Canada’s Top Chef.
Top Chef Canada is the homegrown version of the hit Emmy Award winning NBCUniversal Series Top Chef. Now in its 16th season airing in the US, Top Chef is produced in 21 countries around the world, making it one of the most successful culinary TV formats in the world.
