“Out of the blocks, Good Witch has been a smash hit for W Network,” said John MacDonald, Executive Vice President, Television, Head of Corus Women & Family, Corus Entertainment. “The series’ success is further proof that audiences will show up in droves for great programming no matter the time of year. With our Season 2 pickup, audiences have more of this spellbinding series to look forward to.”

Good Witch hit a ratings peak on Thursday, September 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT as  the highest-rated scripted series for the day across all Canadian English Specialty Networks, drawing an average audience of 472,000 (V2+) viewers in Canada.

Good Witch follows the adventures of Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell), the quaint town of Middleton’s favorite enchantress, and her teenage daughter Grace (Bailee Madison), who shares her mom’s special intuition. When New York transplants, Dr. Sam Radford (James Denton) and his son move in next door to the Grey House, they are immediately spellbound by the mother-daughter duo. But it quickly becomes apparent that Sam and Cassie may not see eye to eye. With her signature charm, Cassie attempts to bring everyone together, ensuring all of Middleton is in for change, big surprises and, of course, a little bit of magic.

In the final episode of Season 1, airing Thursday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Cassie fights to keep her beloved Bell, Book and Candle store, while working her magic to help Sam deal with his ex-wife Linda and keep custody of his son Nick.

Just in time for Halloween, W Network will premiere the first two hours of Season 2 in a special sneak peek preview, airing Sunday, October 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In Season 2, Cassie continues to conjure up her special brand of magic in her small town of Middleton, but even she can’t predict the excitement that will brew in her life with her enchanting daughter Grace and handsome next-door neighbor, Dr. Sam Radford by her side. One thing is certain: Cassie takes on all the fun and romance one day-or one spell-at a time.
