Stations in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Guelph, Hamilton, Toronto, London and Montreal are running 30- to 60-second spots featuring local business leaders discussing encouraging economic news; It’s a Great Day to Buy a Car spots initiated by Corus Radio Winnipeg, and currently airing in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener, Toronto, Peterborough and Kingston, encouraging consumers who are considering purchasing a vehicle to take advantage of low interest rates and pricing; Barney Brightside PSAs, airing in Toronto, Barrie, Collingwood, Guelph, Hamilton, London and Kingston, featuring positive economic messages that provide listeners with optimistic but realistic reasons to support local businesses; Adler Online with Charles Adler, the nationally-syndicated program on Corus’ network of news-talk stations, is ensuring a balanced approach to covering the economic issues – both positive and negative; Corus Radio Quebec and the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) are partnering on a PSA campaign featuring a series of 60-second spots spreading upbeat economic news on Corus’ Quebec radio stations; Derringer’s Economic Bailout at Toronto’s Q107 offers listeners the opportunity to win money in hopes that they will inject it back into the economy.
