The network offers regular series such as CMT Central, Canada’s one and only source for country entertainment news, live music and interviews with the stars; smash hit sitcoms including Reba, starring country singer Reba McEntire; the hugely successful talent search show Nashville Star; and major awards shows including the CMT Music Awards, and the Canadian Country Music Awards.

CMT was launched in 1995 and is now seen in almost eight million Canadian homes. A major force in Canada’s music and entertainment industry, CMT has supported and helped launch the careers of such artists as Shania Twain, Terri Clark and Paul Brandt through the channel’s diverse programming and commissioning support, national talent searches and promotional efforts.
