New Jane Lockhart Series Launches Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

(Toronto, Canada) W Network, Canada’s #1 specialty channel for women, asks the question: “Are you living in the wrong colour?” with the new half-hour series Colour Confidential. From the producers of Divine Design, and hosted by renowned interior designer and colour expert Jane Lockhart, Colour Confidential explores how shades and hues affect a room and the person living in it. A new addition to W’s Thursday night design block, the show premieres on Thursday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In each episode, Jane takes a fresh approach to home design, involving homeowners in the decision-making process by using real-life objects that inspire them – a chocolate truffle becomes the inspiration for a rich brown wall, a bright red tomato becomes the force behind a hot red kitchen and beach sand prompts the selection of a soothing new living room carpet. Jane’s innovative designs demonstrate that the character and mood of a room can change dramatically simply with new colour.

“W’s Thursday night design lineup has developed a strong following,” says Maria Armstrong, Director of Original Productions for W Network. “Including a show about colour really rounds out our schedule, and Jane is a perfect addition to our family of star designers.”

An award-winning graduate of the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, Jane has gained a stellar reputation throughout her career with successful retail, theatrical, restaurant and residential projects. Jane is also recognized for her hosting duties on the long-running series One House, Two Looks and her collaboration in the production of the bestselling project design book Paint a Great Impression with over 250,000 copies sold. Jane will become even more recognized when Colour Confidential debuts in the U.S. in Spring 2005.
