Le lot du diable : a smashing success for Historia’ original production!

Montreal, February 13, 2017Le lot du diable has been a huge success since it first aired on January 19.  Each of the first three episodes were watched by more than half a million viewers on all their broadcasts on Historia and Series+.  Only for the first broadcast on Thursday at 9 p.m., simultaneously on Historia and Séries+, the first episode attracted more than 250,000 viewers, the second more than 286,000 and the third nearly 320,000*—a significant increase each week. These impressive results gave Le lot du diable a significant market share, making it the most watched program in Quebec (all conventional and non-sports specialty channels combined) among its main target groups in the Thursday evening 9 p.m. time slot on January 26 and February 2.**

“It was a bold move to air a reality show on Historia, and clearly, the public is answering the call with this audience record for the channel. Also, by opting for a programming strategy of multicasting and simulcasting on Séries+, we’re aiming to get this major production to be seen by as many viewers as possible. These excellent results, with a market share of 14,9% among 18-49 year-olds adults***, have shown this is a winning strategy, in addition to promoting Historia’s brand on Séries+, which is the number one specialty channel in Quebec****.  I would also like to congratulate the seasoned team at Zone3 for the outstanding quality of the production,” said Brigitte Vincent, vice-president of content and programming.

The epic reality show Le lot du diable will continue to air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. until March 23, with the final episode where the winner will receive the $100,000 prize. Complete episodes are also available for catch up on the Historia site at historiatv.com, where you can also learn more about the participants and access exclusive content.
