DUSK FEBRUARY 2010 PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS

(Toronto, Canada) In February, DUSK celebrates the complicated side of love with a thrilling suspense film every Saturday at 9 p.m., including the network premiere of Killing Me Softly, starring Heather Graham and Joseph Fiennes. Also this month DUSK presents the premiere of The Invisible, filmed in Vancouver, the supernatural teen thriller asks: how do you solve a murder if you are the victim?

I LOVE YOU TO DEATH EVENT
Love can be a double edged sword, and DUSK explores the dangerous side of unbridled emotion with a different thriller every Saturday night at 9 p.m.

Killing Me Softly (2002) premieres Saturday, February 27 at 9 p.m.
Alice (Heather Graham) believes she is happy in her secure job and stable relationship with her live-in boyfriend. However, after a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger (Joseph Fiennes) she begins a passionate affair. Alice learns that her new partner is a celebrated mountain climber with a heroic past. After a short and intense romance Adam asks Alice to marry him, but on the day of their wedding Alice receives an unmarked letter warning her that Adam has a dangerous past. After more letters are received Alice goes searching for who is sending the warnings and discovers a woman from Adam's past had gone missing and her new husband may be to blame. The film is based on the novel by Nicci French and directed by Chen Kaige.

Dead End
(2003) premieres Friday, February 5 at 9 p.m.
On Christmas Eve, Frank Harrington (Ray Wise) is driving with his family and his daughter’s boyfriend Brad, to have Christmas dinner at the home of Frank’s mother-in-law. After deciding to drive through an unknown shortcut using a secondary road, horrific events follow the family after a near accident when Frank briefly falls asleep at the wheel. On the road they also encounter a mysterious woman in white (Amber Smith) wandering through the forest with her baby, leaving death in her wake.

Abandon (2002) premieres Friday, February 12 at 9 p.m
Katie Holmes.
stars as Katie Burke, a senior at one of America’s most prestigious colleges. Under enormous pressure to complete her thesis and earn a top job at one of the world's most competitive consulting firms, Katie is disturbed by the sudden reappearance of her first love, Embry Langan, who vanished two years prior. Newly sober Detective Wade Handler (Benjamin Bratt) is called in to investigate and uncovers some disconcerting facts about the mysterious case.

The Invisible (2007) premieres Sunday, February 21 at 10 p.m.
From the producers of The Sixth Sense and the co-writer of Batman Begins, The Invisible is a supernatural thriller about a young student and writer who finds himself trapped between the world of the living and the dead, after he is brutally attacked and left for dead. Now in limbo, his only chance to live again is to figure out the mystery of what happened to him and why, before his time runs out. As Nick attempts to uncover the ominous truth behind his ghostly condition, the trail leads from his mother (Marcia Gay Harden), to his best friend, a shady criminal, and the tough and troubled girl who Nick comes to realize may hold the key to his awakening from the unexplainable.
