CMT FEBRUARY 2010 HIGHLIGHTS
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? joins the schedule CMT celebrates family-friendly love with Valentine’s and Family Day programming
(Toronto, Canada) Corus Entertainment’s CMT is jump-starting February with the hit series Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? premiering on Sunday, February 7 at 7 p.m./9 p.m. PT. CMT February programming also includes Valentine’s Day specials, fun-loving Family Day adventures with Dave and Kortney Wilson and three premiere movies including The Man in the Moon starring Reese Witherspoon.
ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER? – SERIES PREMIERE
Produced by Mark Burnett (The Apprentice), ordinary adults must try their luck at a list of questions targeted at the fifth-grade level in this one-hour series hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy. The adults are quizzed from topics pulled from elementary school textbooks and are teamed with five children as classmates that can help the adults through the process. The contestants have the opportunity to answer 10 questions for $500,000 US and one additional question to win $1 million US. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? premieres on Sunday, February 7 at 7 p.m./9 p.m. PT.
VALENTINE’S DAY ON CMT
She loves me, she loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not – CMT celebrates Valentine’s with a full day of programming dedicated to love. Beginning at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT on Sunday, February 14, viewers can catch Hollywood Hookups at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT and CMT Star: Weddings at 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT.
Beginning at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, heart-pounding programming will continue with back-to-back romantic videos in CMT Music hosted by Lindsay Stone. Viewers can visit CMT.ca to submit personal valentine messages to appear on-air. The network will also pay tribute to family love with back-to-back episodes beginning at 5 p.m. of According to Jim starring Jim Belushi.
FAMILY DAY ON CMT
CMT salutes its favourite family this Family Day with back-to-back episodes of Meet the Wilsons, Season 1. Beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Monday, February 15, viewers can follow this fun-loving family through laughter and tears in this Canadian original series produced by RGK One Shot Productions in association with CMT. All eight half-hour episodes document Canadian couple, Dave and Kortney, living in Nashville as they embark upon flipping their house, launching a music career and adopting a third child. With the help of their family and friends, one of whom is crashing with them temporarily, the Wilsons are determined to make all of their dreams come true.
