CANDIDATES AIM TO OUT-WINE, OUT-DINE AND OUT-CLASS THE COMPETITION IN COME DINE WITH ME ON W NETWORK
Reigniting the popularity of the dinner party, Come Dine with Me premieres on Monday, January 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on W Network (Toronto, Canada) This January, W Network serves up the exclusive Canadian presentation of the hit U.K. Channel 4 series Come Dine with Me, a culinary-challenge series that celebrates ordinary people with a passion for creating their own restaurant quality feasts. Premiering on Monday, January 4 at 8 p.m., Come Dine with Me welcomes viewers into the homes of amateur chefs as they clash over menu choices, make unexpected friendships and rummage through each other’s closets. Airing daily from Monday to Friday, each set of five episodes introduces a diverse mix of five competitors. These five complete strangers take turns hosting what they hope will be a perfect evening of entertainment in their homes. In each episode, a different competitor hosts a dinner party at their house, providing a snapshot into their life and passions, as they outline the thinking behind that evening’s menu and their choice of ingredients. As the night ends, their fellow contestants judge them on their menu, hospitality and presentation. At the end of the week, the person with the highest rating takes home the cash prize and title of the ultimate dinner party host. The competitors are judged on the entire package: their homes, tastes and social skills – and with a wide-range of backgrounds, one person’s domestic style can often be another’s worst nightmare. As hosts organize their meals and chosen entertainment for the evening – which ranges from musical performances to belly dancing displays – the other contestants peek behind closed doors and reveal their opinions on interior design choices and cleaning skills. The half-hour episodes of Come Dine with Me will air Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. beginning Monday, January 4, with a weekly marathon on Sundays at 1 p.m. Plus, every Saturday at 1 p.m., a one-hour episode of the series will air, featuring a condensed version of the series concept following four amateur chefs as they host their dinner parties. At the end of the episode, one host will win bragging rights and the cash prize. W Network is giving the series a special marathon sneak peek during the holidays, airing back-to-back half-hour episodes of Come Dine with Me on Monday, December 28, Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, January 2 from 1 p.m.to 3:30 p.m. Recipes from the series will be available on wnetwork.com following the series premiere.
