(Calgary, Canada) Corus Radio will provide live broadcast coverage of the Canadian Football League’s 97th Grey Cup on Sunday, November 29 as the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes go head-to-head for the 2009 Grey Cup championship.
Corus stations involved in the broadcast include English stations AM 770 (Calgary), 630 CHED (Edmonton), CJOB 68 (Winnipeg), AM 900 CHML (Hamilton) and AM640 Toronto Radio as well as French station CKAC Sports (Montreal). All of these Corus stations will also stream the broadcast live on their respective websites.
Pre-Game Show: Broadcast starts at 2:30 p.m. MT and will be hosted by well-known sports personalities Jock Wilson and Mark Stephen. Wilson is the co-host of Sports Talk on AM 770 and also host of the pre-game, half-time show and post-game show for all Calgary Stampeders broadcasts. Stephen has been providing play-by-play commentary for the Calgary Stampeders for 13 years.
97th Grey Cup Game: Kick-off is at 4:30 p.m. MT. The first half of the game will be hosted by the voice of the Roughriders Rod Pedersen, followed by the Alouettes play-by-play commentator, Rick Moffat, for the second half. Colour analysis will be provided by Carm Carteri for the Roughriders and Ed Philion for the Alouettes.
Post-Game Show: Jock Wilson and Mark Stephen return to host the one hour post-game show, taking listeners into the locker rooms of both teams.
For French coverage of the game, CKAC Sports in Montreal will provide the French broadcast beginning at 4 p.m. ET and will feature pre- and post-game host Martin Lemay, Charles-André Marchand providing play-by-play coverage and former Alouette fullback, Bruno Heppell, as colour analyst.
During the broadcast, Corus-produced special features will air and include The Road to the Grey Cup and CFL Outstanding Player Awards as well as player profiles.
