ROBIN WILLIAMS: WEAPONS OF SELF DESTRUCTION (WORLD PREMIERE; COMEDY SPECIAL)
Sunday, December 6 at 9 p.m. (day-and-date with HBO in the U.S.)

Robin Williams returns to HBO with a unique stand-up event scheduled to be taped before a live audience at Washington’s DAR Constitution Hall in late November. Making his  first solo comedy appearance on the network in seven years, this exclusive comedy event will feature the Oscar®-winner at one of the stops on his current sold-out national tour.

(NETWORK PREMIERE; CANADIAN ORIGINAL FILM)
Saturday, December 19 at 8 p.m.

In this psychological thriller from Canada’s Bruce McDonald -  director of Hard Core Logo and The Tracey Fragments - what begins as another boring day of snow cancellations in a rural Ontario town quickly turns into a bizarre and deadly outbreak that threatens the entire town and the staff at a small radio station. Based on Tony Burgess’ novel Pontypool Changes Everything, the film stars Stephen McHattie, Lisa Houle, Georgina Riley and Rick Roberts.

EDISON AND LEO
(NETWORK PREMIERE; CANADIAN ORIGINAL FILM)
Sunday, December 20 at 8 p.m.

As Canada’s first stop motion animated feature, this surreal and quirky 2008 film tells the tale of eccentric scientist George Edison and his family: a deceased mother immortalized by a 12-metre metallic replica; a young son who has  electricity literally crackling through his veins; and an older son who pledges to overthrow the entire family order.

Wednesday, December 30 at 8 p.m.

Adapted by acclaimed English playwright Caryl Churchill from her original play of the same name, this HBO Films/BBC co-production examines the issue of human cloning via a surprising and haunting father-son drama.  Salter , a man in his early 60s, is confronted by his adult son Bernard, a.k.a. B2, who has discovered that genetic replicas of him exist. Starring Tom Wilkinson and Rhys Ifans.
