Live from Nashville, CMT brings The 43rd Annual Country Music Awards hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood
CMT presents Reese Witherspoon’s Oscar®-winning performance in Walk the Line
(Toronto, Canada) CMT celebrates the best in country music this November with the live broadcast of The 43rd Annual Country Music Awards hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Viewers also won’t want to miss the premiere of Walk the Line starring Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter.
THE 43RD ANNUAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS – LIVE BROADCAST
Live from the Sommet Center in Nashville on Wednesday, November 11 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, 11-time CMA winner Brad Paisley and five-time CMA winner Carrie Underwood, will host the CMA Awards on CMT. Paisley has been nominated for seven awards this year including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year, while Underwood is up for Female Vocalist of the Year. Adding to the excitement, both artists are scheduled to perform at the event as well.
The biggest night in country music, this year’s show will feature performances by: Entertainer of the Year nominee Taylor Swift, a joint performance by Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Billy Currington, a duet by Vince Gill and Daughtry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland and Entertainer of the Year nominee Keith Urban.
Celebs scheduled to present awards at this star-studded event include: CMA Award winner LeAnn Rimes; Kellie Pickler; former cast member of Dancing With the Stars Julianne Hough; Randy Houser who is nominated for both New Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year; as well as nominee for New Artist of the Year, Jake Owen.
WALK THE LINE – PREMIERE
Follow the true story of the original man in black Johnny Cash as he moves from being a farm boy in Arkansas to a music icon. Finding the strength to keep his own sound, his original style and the love of his life, June Carter, Cash walks a thin line of self-destruction and redemption. Watch the love ignite between Johnny Cash, portrayed by Oscar®-nominated Joaquin Phoenix, and June Carter, played by Oscar®-winner Reese Witherspoon when Walk the Line premieres Saturday, November 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
