VIVA DECEMBER 2009 PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS

(Toronto, Canada) This December, VIVA mixes flavour and suspense with holiday food specials and series marathons. Plus, viewers can enjoy a premiere film every Friday night and be transported back to a glamorous era with classic movies every Sunday including Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

HOLIDAY FOOD SPECIALS
VIVA Cuisine celebrates the season with tantalizing food specials peppered throughout December. Viewers can catch these mouth watering specials to get tips, tricks and delectable new recipes for upcoming holiday meals.

Rachel Allen Bake: Christmas Bake 1 airs Saturday, December 5 at 5 p.m. (r) Wednesday, December 16 at 4:30 p.m.
Martha Stewart: In the Holiday Spirit

On your mark, get set, go! VIVA springs into the New Year with a week of marathons featuring viewers’ favourite series from Monday, December 28 to Sunday, January 3 including Simple Fresh Delicious and the entire third season of The Closer

Cold Case marathon starts Monday, December 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Da Vinci’s Inquest marathon starts Tuesday, December 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Missing marathon
starts Wednesday, December 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Simple Fresh Delicious marathon
starts Thursday, December 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Movie of the Week (MOW) marathon
starts Friday, January 1 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Chef Worthy marathon starts Saturday, January 2 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Closer marathon
starts Sunday, January 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

CLASSIC MOVIES EVERY SUNDAY
VIVA turns to timeless love stories this December with classic movies every Sunday night. From Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn to Humphrey Bogart and Robert Redford, viewers can revel in iconic films that transcend generations.
