Since its debut in September 1999, Corus has given millions in cash and services to various charities and organizations. Through its numerous radio stations, television networks and content assets. Corus supports many worthwhile causes across Canada that are aligned with the Company’s vision and values.
The Canadian broadcasting system is supported by a regulation that requires companies who acquire broadcast assets to commit 6% of each asset, as a public benefit, to programs and initiatives that benefit the Canadian broadcasting system. These public benefits support Canadian programming, talent and training. In addition, Corus Radio commits 1% of its earnings per year to local initiatives that support Canadian talent development.
